Please join Southern Oregon Foot & Ankle from now until the end of December in providing new or gently used shoes, and new socks for our local youth in need. Teachers at local elementary schools have noticed an increase in children who are attending school with holes in their shoes, so Compassion Highway Project has stepped up to lead this effort in organizing drop loactions, collecting, sorting, and distributing.
Teachers often times reach quietly into their own pockets to provide new shoes to students in need. It has become such a problem recently, that they are now looking to the local community for help.
We at Southern Oregon Foot & Ankle have contributed by starting off the drive with some youth medical grade crocs and World's Softest Socks and invite our patients to consider purchasing a pair of the National Park socks or other World's Softest available in our office, to outfit our youth in the community so they can be comfortable this winter.
For your convenience there are several drop sites including: Southern Oregon Foot & Ankle, Blackbird, Shear Antics Salon, Little Feet Children's Shoes, and any Medford Starbucks location.
So the next time you are out and about, scan the clearance section of shoes Youth Size 10 to Adult Size 11 and bring your pair to: Southern Oregon Foot & Ankle, located at 1904 E. Barnett Rd. in Medford, during business hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30 (closed for lunch 12-1:30 pm).
Thank you in advance for your gift of shoes or socks. They are truly appreciated by the children of our community in most need.
