Spring Break Ready Feet

Comments (0)

Although keeping your feet healthy and papered all year long sounds simple it can be easy to forget about your feet during the winter months. And once sandal season starts to peak through you quickly realize your feet have been neglected all winter and need a little TLC. Whether you are going to the beach for spring break, or you are just staying home enjoying some relaxation, take some time to pamper your feet and get them ready for the warmer weather.

Foot scrub/pumice stone: To get rid of dry/cracked feet try using your favorite foot scrub along with a pumice stone in the shower. Do this everyday for a week or so depending on the severity and then switch to every few days so your feet will stay soft all summer long.

Foot cream: A food scrub wouldn’t be complete if you didn’t finish off with a good heavy foot cream. This is especially important at night while your feet have chance to rest. For extra soft feet, put on socks before you go to bed to lock in the moisture from the lotion.

Pedicure: Even if you aren’t into having your toes painted bright colors it is still important to take care of your nails and keep them trimmed correctly (straight across to avoid ingrown toenails). Make sure to avoid toenail fungus by using our favorite Dr. Remedy’s Nail Polish which has no harmful chemicals and is actually good for your nails. Pick some up at Southern Oregon Foot & Ankle, LLC at your next visit!

Taking care of your feet all year long is important, so don’t forget about those feet in the winter time. If you are suffering from any type of foot pain come see Dr. Evan Merrill and his staff today! Make an appointment by calling us at 541-776-3338 or by filling out our online form.
