Let’s talk about our feet for a minute. They support our whole body. They get tired and overworked and need a break once in a while. Often times they get overlooked and don’t get the attention and care they deserve. So, check out these ideas for giving your feet a little extra pampering:
- Get a Pedicure: Whether you go to a professional or do it yourself at home, a pedicure is a great way to relieve stress from your feet. Soak your feet in warm water for 10-15 minutes and use a pumice stone and exfoliating scrub to remove dead, dry skin. Pedicures aren’t just for women either— men get rough, tired feet as well.
- Moisturize Your Feet: Buy a good foot cream and apply it right after you shower, and also at night right before bed. If you want extra soft feet, put on socks after you moisturize at night and wear them to bed. Your feet will be silky smooth the next morning.
- Foot Massage: If you don’t have the funds for a fancy foot massage, get that man or woman in your life to rub your feet. This is a great way to release tension in the feet. A good foot massage will loosen the muscles and relax not only your feet, but you as well!
- Wear Good Shoes: Put your feet in shoes that are comfortable and aren’t too tight. This will help prevent bunions, calluses and other problems that can occur with the wrong fitting shoe.
Remember to make your feet a priority throughout the year. Pampering them doesn’t just have to be for special occasions. Taking good care of your feet on a regular basis will result in less pain, discomfort and complications in the future.
