Having stinky, sweaty feet can be embarrassing and uncomfortable, and with summer here, that is not something you want to be worrying about. If you suffer from this problem, check out these ideas to help take the stink away.
Wash your feet daily with antibacterial soap. Stinky feet are caused by bacteria, so this will help kill the bacteria. Make sure to scrub between your toes as well as the bottoms of your feet. Also, be sure to dry your feet completely before putting on shoes and socks. Wet feet in socks and shoes is never a good idea since that’s where bacteria will thrive.
Another idea is to soak your feet in Epson salt mixed with warm water for 20-30 minutes a day for a few days.
White vinegar is also a great way to help reduce the stink. Add vinegar to warm water and soak your feet for about 10 minutes. Make sure the water to vinegar ratio is 2:1. If your feet start to burn at all, add a little more water.
Rub your feet with lemon juice. Lemon is a great deodorizer, and many people use it all over their homes for cleaning purposes. So, it’s no surprise that it has been known to help with stinky feet as well. Wash and dry your feet, then cut a lemon in half and rub it all over the foot, especially between the toes. Let your feet dry completely.
