Temperatures are warming up which means perfect morning running weather! Favorite Socks: Smart Wool or Feetures: These socks are great for a couple of reasons: They target your feet in specific areas where they need compression the most, and they are comfortable and breathable. When Dr. Merrill runs a race he always uses a new pair. He doesn’t do this with shoes but he likes to use running socks right out of the package.
3. Road ID: Ever since Dr. Merrill ran into a tree and "saw stars and little birdies" circling his head he always has his road ID with him that his wife gave him for Christmas. Safety is key when running!
4. Garmin 230 GPS Watch: Dr. Merrill loves this watch since it connects with your cell phone and you can track your runs online. It also picks up your location very quickly so you don’t have to waste a lot of time waiting around for your gps to get going.
5. 2 in 1 Shorts: Dr. Merrill loves these and says they are very comfortable and less chafing than regular running shorts. The compression part is built in to the shorts making it one less thing to worry about buying. Nike makes a good pair as well as Road Runner.
